An excellent Berggasthof, with great people and a stellar view!

This was by far the most economical Berggasthof I stayed at on a trip through southern Germany and North Central Austria in 2009, but it had the best views and a friendly, warm atmosphere. The propreitor cooks meals himself. We arrived in Werfen at about 7 PM on a weekday, and had not planned our accommodations well. We found a board directory in the center of town, and there it listed many Gasthofs; Zaisman was the only one when we called that had no problem in our arrival and the clerk asked if we had already had dinner. When we said we had not, she let us know that the kitchen would be very happy to cook us anything. The staff was warm, friendly, and had the utmost concern for your comfort and convienience. I seriously could not give a higher reccommendation!
